Winter. Water. Woohoo!

Provide Water to Help Your Birds Make the Best of Winter

Birds need a reliable source for water - even in the winter. You can help them by providing an open source of water. Bird baths can provide a water source and should be heated to help prevent the whole bath from freezing. In areas where the weather can turn cold and possibly freeze the water in bird baths, a heater or heated birdbath can keep an area open in your bird bath.

Birds' feathers need to be cleaned of dust and parasites, even in the winter. Like most creatures on Earth, birds need water every day to survive and rely on shallow, open water sources in the winter. Many birds will come to a bird bath all year long, some that you will not see at your feeders, such as warblers in the spring!

We offer heated bird baths and portable heaters for winter-safe bird baths. (Heated baths and portable heaters are limited stock.)
